Now Is The Time!

Weichert Financial Services was pleased to host a Real Estate Industry Conference Call on Friday April 8, 2011 to our entire team of valued Weichert Realtor business partners hosted by Steve Adamo, President of Weichert Financial Services, and featuring special guest speaker Ron Phipps, sitting President of the National Association of Realtors.


A lot of important information was shared, and there was an upbeat mood on the call, despite the challenges ahead, but a lot of positive opportunities as well. Some of the main topics discussed on the call were:

- Rates: Still historically low with a great many financing options available to the end consumer.

- Products: Aggressive ARM’s with rates in the 3’s. Plenty of Jumbo options. Structures where 100% of the money down can be gift funds.

- Favorable Market Conditions: “Seize the day”

- Realtors: Need to be a market “guide” and a “mentor” to the uneducated buyer more now than at any point. They need someone who is empathetic and caring and will help them “seize the day”

- Loan Limit Changes: While there appears to be a GSE loan limit reduction coming in Sept on agency “Jumbo” loans, this will not impact us as we have a wide range of Jumbo outlets.

- QRM: The impact on Securitization issuance remains to be seen, but for our sector of the market, and the products we have available, it is business as usual with no impact now or in the foreseeable future.

- NAR Resources/Lobbying Efforts: Great dialog between Steve and Ron related to resources available through NAR and their website, and an overview of what is happening with NAR’s lobbying efforts.


By all accounts the call was very well received by those in attendance, and was informative and insightful.  A great update opportunity for all.  Weichert Financial Services continues to partner with Weichert Realtors to be successful in capturing every transaction.
